In the fall of 2011 Andrew Shenton became the third Artistic Director of the Boston Choral Ensemble, the region’s most innovative choral ensemble. The group exists to encourage the creative expansion of the choral art by exploring the essential qualities that unite diverse traditions.
BCE is an auditioned choir of about 32 mixed-voices. We are always interested to hear from potential new members. Details of the current audition schedule can be found here. Our programs are varied and engage membership and audiences both intellectually and emotionally.
